Job Overview:
The role of the Extrusion Machine Operator is critical in ensuring the efficient operation of extrusion machinery. This position is responsible for initiating and fine-tuning the extrusion process, while also overseeing the quality of the finished products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and adjust the extrusion machinery to meet production specifications.
- Monitor product quality, making necessary modifications to maintain acceptable standards for color, dimensions, and uniformity.
- Change rolls of finished products and operate grinding equipment to recycle scrap materials.
- Perform changeovers effectively when switching between different production runs.
- Adhere to good manufacturing practices to ensure product safety and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in machine operation, preferably in extrusion.
- Familiarity with setup, breakdown, and preventative maintenance of machinery.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Capable of training new operators.
This position requires a proactive approach to machine operation and a commitment to quality and safety standards.
