Position Summary:
As a key member of our production team, the Machinery Operations Specialist is responsible for the seamless operation of our machinery and equipment. This role encompasses machine setup, repair, maintenance, and ongoing operational oversight. The Machinery Operations Specialist plays a vital role in troubleshooting and resolving unexpected issues as they arise, serving as the first line of defense and providing valuable insights to prevent future complications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehending customer requirements and their definition of a quality product.
- Guaranteeing that production output meets the highest quality standards and training team members on maintaining consistent quality.
- Advancing through the competency model program to enhance skills and knowledge continuously.
- Evaluating the quality of parts in collaboration with inspectors and packers to ensure compliance with acceptable standards, making necessary machine adjustments.
- Contributing to the success of the broader team, including stepping in for other roles as needed.
- Timely completion of accurate production documentation.
- Adhering to good manufacturing practices (GMP) to ensure safety for team members and products.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the Crew Leader.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to continuous learning and personal growth.
- Mechanical aptitude.
Physical Requirements:
- Regular lifting of 15-25 lbs; occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs; lifting over 50 lbs requires teamwork.
- Frequent repetitive tasks involving upper body movements.
- Extended periods of standing on concrete surfaces.
- Ability to properly wear and utilize personal protective equipment as required.
- Regular climbing of steps and/or ladders while working on elevated platforms.
- Exposure to high temperatures during work activities.
Essential Skills:
- Preventive maintenance techniques.
- Blueprint interpretation.
- PLC troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of electrical schematics.
- Machine inspection capabilities.
- Machine repair proficiency.
Training Requirement:
Must be available for training on the first shift, 6am-2:30pm, for a minimum duration of six months.
