Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Rhythm Monitor Specialist to join our team at Montclair Hospital Medical Center. As a Monitor Technician, you will play a vital role in providing indirect care in our department setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors to ensure accurate and timely detection of any abnormalities.
  • Meet the communication needs of the department by effectively interacting with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Transcribe physician orders in the absence of a computerized physician order entry (CPOE) and electronic medical record (EMR) clinical documentation system.
  • Verify that lab tests and radiology tests have been ordered and completed.
  • Prepare and compile records in Med/Surg/Telemetry, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Order supplies for the unit and prepare and complete each patient's chart for necessary forms on a daily basis.
  • Assist nursing staff with indirect patient care duties, ensuring that primary responsibilities for dysrhythmia monitoring are not compromised.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for all new hires.
  • Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Six months previous experience in Healthcare or as Monitor Technician preferred.

Montclair Hospital Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $21.29. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
