Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Monitor Technician to join our team. The Monitor Technician will be responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms, transcribing physician orders, and verifying lab tests and radiology tests.
Responsibilities- Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors
- Meet the communication needs of the department
- Transcribe physician orders in the absence of CPOE and EMR clinical documentation system
- Verify that lab tests and radiology tests have been ordered and done
- Prepare and complete records in the Emergency Department
- Order supplies for the unit
- Assist nursing staff with indirect patient care duties
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate required
- Current BLS certificate required
- Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician preferred
