Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Monitor Technician to join our team. The Monitor Technician will be responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms, transcribing physician orders, and verifying lab tests and radiology tests.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors
  • Meet the communication needs of the department
  • Transcribe physician orders in the absence of CPOE and EMR clinical documentation system
  • Verify that lab tests and radiology tests have been ordered and done
  • Prepare and complete records in the Emergency Department
  • Order supplies for the unit
  • Assist nursing staff with indirect patient care duties
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate required
  • Current BLS certificate required
  • Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician preferred
