Job Summary

The University of California, Irvine is seeking a skilled Cardiac Rhythm Technician to join our team. As a Telemetry Monitor Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring and accurately interpreting cardiac rhythms of patients on telemetric equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms of patients on telemetric equipment
  • Provide continuous observation and identify basic arrhythmias
  • Provide prompt notification of changes/issues or dysrhythmia to the RN or Physician as they occur
  • Troubleshoot false alarms and system/equipment issues
  • Document values and mount rhythm strips according to unit standards
  • Provide continuous observation of patients who are being monitored during special procedures
Requirements
  • Minimum one year experience monitoring cardiac activity
  • Electrocardiography (ECG) Certification by time of hire
  • Availability to work weekends and rotating shifts, including evenings, nights and holidays
  • BLS
