Position Overview:


We are in search of a seasoned and strategic Director of Engineering to spearhead our technological initiatives and oversee the advancement of our trading platforms.

The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of the CFD brokerage landscape and a successful history of managing extensive engineering teams.

Your responsibilities will include supervising the entire engineering division, ensuring the delivery of high-performance trading platforms, and sustaining a technological advantage in a fiercely competitive industry.

This position necessitates a specific background in the CFD brokerage sector and familiarity with the technologies and IT infrastructures typical of leading firms.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a substantial engineering team, comprising both in-house and outsourced resources, to deliver exceptional trading solutions.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of low-latency, high-throughput trading systems and platforms.
  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of trading execution platforms and market connectivity services.
  • Collaborate with product management and business stakeholders to align technological strategies with business objectives.
  • Develop and implement best practices for software development, including Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Drive innovation by remaining informed about the latest industry trends and technologies, integrating them into the engineering strategy.
  • Manage relationships with key technology vendors and partners.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Mentor and cultivate engineering talent, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in a senior engineering leadership role within the CFD brokerage industry or similar financial services environments.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale engineering teams and complex projects.
  • Deep understanding of trading systems, market connectivity, and financial technology.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing low-latency, high-throughput systems.
  • Strong technical background with proficiency in relevant technologies (e.g., C#, .NET, FIX protocol).
  • In-depth experience with MetaTrader 4/5 trading platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
