A prominent high-frequency trading firm with a global presence is seeking a proficient Lead Reliability Engineer to oversee and enhance their Linux-based trading infrastructure on a daily basis.

This crucial position involves spearheading the design of significant software components and systems aimed at boosting the availability, latency, and overall efficiency of trading operations.


In this role, you will deliver level II support, which encompasses emergency responses, planned modifications, and advanced performance diagnostics. You will also contribute to the development of tools and services, engage regularly with trading and core engineering teams, and offer guidance and mentorship to fellow team members.

The ideal candidate will possess a methodical approach to problem-solving, along with a solid background in architecting, developing, and troubleshooting complex systems.

Qualifications:
Extensive experience in a Linux production setting, coupled with a background in software engineering.

Proficient in Python and Bash programming languages.

Regular involvement in the creation and enhancement of automation and monitoring tools, such as configuration management, source control, CI/CD, and automated deployment.

Strong understanding of operating system concepts and Linux internals.

Familiarity with Intel-based hardware and server components.

Knowledge of server-side networking and common network protocols.
