SLUCare Cardiothoracic Surgery is actively seeking a lead Advanced Practice Provider to join our growing department at SLU Hospital, a Level I Time Critical Diagnosis hospital in Stroke, Trauma, and STEMI.

Job Details

  • Growing cardiothoracic division with opportunities for professional growth and development
  • Endoscopic vein harvesting and other advanced surgical procedures
  • 12 hour shifts, 1:4 call schedule with protected administrative time
  • First and second assisting in the operating room
  • Chest tube placement and other critical care skills
  • Assisting with ECMO cannulation and other life-saving procedures

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) program
  • NPs must have ACNP certification
  • Current PA/NP licensure in the appropriate state
  • Four years of experience, with two years in the operating room
  • Cardiothoracic and ICU experience highly preferred
  • Leadership experience and a proven track record of success
