Position Overview

Role Responsibilities

Key Duties:
  • Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and examinations.
  • Evaluate and counsel patients while gathering medical histories.
  • Monitor patient compliance with treatment protocols.
  • Coordinate screening processes for research initiatives.
  • Collect and document data according to research standards.
  • Develop and implement adherence strategies aligned with protocols.
  • Bill for professional services as authorized by the collaborative practice agreement.
  • Interpret diagnostic test results for anomalies.
  • Prescribe therapies or medications with physician consent.
  • Order and administer diagnostic tests, including x-rays and laboratory tests.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, and wound care.
  • Assist physicians during surgical or complex medical procedures.
  • Promote professional development through educational programs and workshops.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, quality assurance programs, and safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of physician assistant principles with 1-3 years of experience.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of Physician Assistant theory and practice.
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited PA program.
  • Current PA licensure in the relevant state or ability to obtain it promptly.
  • Additional certifications may be required based on specialty.
  • Basic Life Support certification is mandatory.
