We are currently looking to enhance our team by hiring a Procurement Specialist.

Position Overview:

We are in search of a meticulous and seasoned Procurement Specialist with extensive experience in sourcing electrical materials to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will oversee the procurement activities for essential electrical supplies and equipment required for our construction endeavors.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Sourcing and Procurement: Identify, assess, and select suppliers for electrical materials and equipment. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure optimal value for the organization.
  2. Vendor Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with current suppliers while actively seeking new vendors to broaden our supplier network. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues that arise.
  3. Material Planning: Collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to grasp project specifications and timelines. Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment at project sites.
  4. Cost Management: Evaluate pricing trends and market dynamics to enhance purchasing decisions. Implement cost-effective strategies while upholding quality standards.
  5. Inventory Management: Supervise inventory levels to avert shortages and surplus stock. Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure effective storage and distribution of materials.
  6. Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations pertaining to procurement activities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, particularly in electrical materials and equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical components, materials, and equipment utilized in construction projects.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and the ability to foster and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is advantageous.
