As an Insurance Underwriter, you will be responsible for analyzing risks and determining premiums for commercial insurance policies. You will work closely with agents and brokers to identify new business opportunities and manage existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze competitors and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Review and analyze underwriting data to determine whether risks meet corporate underwriting standards.
  • Calculate premium for acceptable risks, or communicate with agents when standards are not met.
  • Manage accounts from $100,000 to $1,250,000 in premium.
  • Develop and implement competitive underwriting strategies and rating models.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree
  • 2-5 years of experience in insurance underwriting
