Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Architectural Engineering Analyst to provide expert support in security consultation for diplomatic construction initiatives mandated by Congress. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety of personnel and the integrity of national security operations within our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough reviews of project plans, construction security strategies, architectural designs, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with the relevant standards set by the Department of State (DoS) and the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Offer strategic advice and recommendations to federal leadership regarding necessary modifications.
  • Collaborate effectively with project stakeholders to develop and implement proposed solutions and design adjustments.
  • Assist in the preparation of Congressional certification or internal confirmation documentation.
  • Evaluate and report on construction security plans to ensure adherence to all applicable DoS and IC standards.
  • Provide consulting expertise and written recommendations concerning proposed changes to policies and standards.
  • Support the Congressional security certification process for U.S. diplomatic facilities.
Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Proven experience in reviewing project plans, construction security strategies, architectural designs, and technical documentation for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of architectural and security technical principles, theories, and concepts applicable across various programs.
  • Experience with modern building management systems and power distribution frameworks.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues through significant application of technical knowledge and reasoning.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills, demonstrated through research and integration of best practices.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with executive leadership on matters of substantial importance.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple U.S. Government IC agencies and the Department of State to advocate for new practices and concepts.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design documents for large-scale, complex facilities.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience managing construction projects for U.S. diplomatic facilities abroad.
  • Familiarity with drafting, reviewing, and implementing DoS or IC construction security plans.
  • Knowledge of DoS construction security policies as outlined in the FAM/FAH.
  • Understanding of ICD-705 and SCIF construction requirements.
  • Familiarity with technical surveillance tradecraft and countermeasures.
  • Experience working within the Intelligence Community.
