Key Responsibilities:

As an Architectural Security Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough reviews of project documentation, including architectural plans and security specifications, to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Advising federal leadership on necessary modifications and solutions to address security vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborating with project stakeholders to develop effective design modifications and solutions.
  • Assisting in the preparation of necessary documentation for security certifications.
  • Responding to inquiries with expert insights on potential security risks related to construction projects.
  • Evaluating construction security plans for adherence to established standards.
  • Providing expert recommendations on policy changes and best practices.
  • Supporting the security certification process for diplomatic facilities.
  • Contributing architectural and engineering insights to policy development and research initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with several years of experience, or a Master's degree with relevant experience.
  • Experience in reviewing construction plans and security specifications to ensure legal compliance.
  • Strong understanding of secure facility construction and operation in international contexts.
  • In-depth knowledge of architectural and security principles and their application across various programs.
  • Proven ability to resolve complex issues through innovative problem-solving techniques.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with executive leadership on critical matters.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple government agencies to promote best practices and new concepts.
  • Ability to interpret complex design documents for large-scale facilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing construction projects for diplomatic facilities.
  • Knowledge of secure power systems for government facilities.
  • Familiarity with drafting and implementing construction security plans.
  • Understanding of relevant construction security policies and regulations.
  • Experience working with the Intelligence Community.
  • Knowledge of power isolation and grounding requirements.
  • Understanding of electrical power generation systems and safety protocols.

The pay range for this position is competitive and reflects the responsibilities and qualifications required. Factors influencing compensation include experience, education, and internal equity.
