Position Overview:

This role is for a Senior Electrical Engineer at Delphinus Engineering, a firm specializing in Cyber Security, Marine Engineering, and Business Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design and development of sophisticated power distribution systems across diverse applications.
  • Perform system evaluations and comparative analyses to guide system architecture and specifications.
  • Ensure technical supervision of contractors and evaluate project documentation.
  • Facilitate testing and diagnostics in laboratory and applicable settings.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and the selection of sources.
  • Contribute to the formulation of Navy standards concerning battery technologies.
  • Provide electrical engineering expertise for Navy lithium battery safety certification assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience in electrical power systems.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degrees are acceptable with relevant experience).
  • Eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Willingness to work on-site for at least 40% of the time.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in power and mixed signal electronics.
  • Familiarity with power distribution and grounding methodologies.
  • Understanding of energy generation and storage solutions.
  • Experience with renewable energy technologies and wireless power transfer.
  • Knowledge of digital electronics and software control systems.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools such as Matlab and Labview.
