Job Title: Survey Project Manager

A Survey Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution and reporting of budgets and resource utilization. This role serves as the primary point of contact between the business and clients.

Geomatics Project Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations of field staff and office staff for multiple land survey projects, including tracking deliverables. They are responsible for proposal writing, business development, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage land survey projects from start to finish, ensuring services meet company quality standards and client specifications.
  • Participate in planning and implementing procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency.
  • Develop and manage proposals, budgets, schedules, billings, and contracts.
  • Sign and seal plats, field notes, and control drawings as required.
  • Work with a team of project managers, technicians, and field crews.
  • Establish work plans and staffing requirements for multiple land survey projects.
  • Participate in business development opportunities and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Develop and conduct presentations to clients and other critical stakeholders.
  • Manage and report financial status, including AR/WIP and billing cycles.
  • Represent company interests in meetings and trade shows as needed.

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required. A Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) certification or the ability to obtain it within 1 year is also required. * 5+ years of industry-related work experience in a management capacity is necessary. Experience working with TXDOT, demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large-scale projects, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required. Strong proficiency with or understanding of tools such as AutoCAD, Micro Station, Geopack, and MS Office Suite is also necessary.
