Senior Survey Project Manager - RPLS

Halff is seeking a highly experienced Senior Survey Project Manager who is a Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead and manage survey projects, develop and implement project plans, and oversee project teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage survey projects from initiation to completion
  • Develop and implement project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget
  • Oversee project teams, including survey crews and technicians
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Collaborate with project managers, survey crews, and technicians to deliver high-quality results
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor License (RPLS)
  • 10+ years' experience in Surveying Industry
  • 5 years of management experience as an RPLS in Texas with excellent communication skills
  • 5 years of experience in boundary surveys and surveys for design in the State of Texas
  • Effective communication skills and ability to lead and coordinate with project managers, survey crews, and survey technicians
  • Ability to work autonomously and mentor Survey Technicians and junior RPLS staff
  • Ability to prioritize and oversee projects, including developing scope of work, schedule, and fee
  • Provides ongoing support for business development efforts, leads the preparation of proposals, and shows as the project manager on project organizational charts
  • Able to successfully lead and supervise a project team on projects of all sizes and levels of complexity
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in Land Development and/or TXDOT projects and procedures
  • Strong understanding of the Austin and overall Texas market
  • Technical proficiency with Trimble Business Center and familiarity with MicroStation or Civil 3D
  • Active in professional organizations, professional development, and mentoring of staff and maintains a network of relationships within the survey profession
