Disputes & Valuations - Vice President Washington, DC

AlixPartners GmbH is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Disputes and Valuations practice within Risk Advisory. As a Vice President, you will play a key role in supporting our clients and addressing their critical issues.
Key Responsibilities- Apply accounting, financial, and data analysis expertise to assist clients and address complex issues in commercial litigation, business valuations, and investigations.
- Work closely with AlixPartners' experts to perform tasks such as financial damage analysis, lost profits determination, valuations of businesses and intangible assets, drafting expert reports, and testifying.
- Research and analyze factors, including performing detailed financial analysis affecting litigation damages or valuation, and gaining an understanding of the industry or market at issue.
- Develop and assess projections and forecasts, create financial models incorporating valuation theory, and analyze financial transactions for possible fraud and compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
- Review audit working papers for compliance with professional standards, communicate with clients and colleagues in written and oral form, and create and manage large data sets.
- Apply statistical analysis, perform quality control review over work product, and organize documents and work papers, including preparation of supporting materials for litigation and valuation reports.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or related field; Master's degree is desirable.
- Minimum of four years' of work experience preferred.
- Pursuit of professional certifications such as a Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, and Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor is viewed favorably.
- Well-developed analytical abilities, ability to prepare financial models and cash flow analyses, and strong project management skills.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently with an entrepreneurial attitude, and a professional demeanor with strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability and willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule, a positive and energetic attitude, and ability to work well under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint, and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
