Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Vice President of Multifamily Construction in Washington, DC. The Vice President will have P&L responsibility for the newly created division and will oversee all aspects including revenue generation, contract negotiation, construction budgeting, construction management, and project management on a day-to-day basis. This person is expected to be able to quickly generate revenue opportunities while utilizing the current team and new hires to execute on the awarded work. This role will have the potential to be part of the leadership team and will certainly hold a position within senior management. The work type targeted will be primarily renovation including repositions, unit turns, and capital projects within the multifamily industry.
Qualifications
- 7 - 10+ years of directly related industry experience
- Industry contacts to obtain revenue generating opportunities
- Contract Negotiation and Budgeting skills
- Construction Management and Project Management experience
- Access to strong subcontractor teams
- Ability to build crews to self-perform various trades as deemed necessary
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Certification in Project Management is a plus
