Chief Financial Officer

AIDEA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team. As a strategic business leader, you will play a central role in planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all corporate financial-related activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Develop and evaluate short and long-term strategic financial objectives, providing recommendations to enhance financial performance and opportunities.
  • Participate in pivotal decisions related to strategic initiatives and operational needs.
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range financial planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.

Financial Management and Reporting

  • Ensure the finance and accounting team provides timely and accurate annual financial statements, analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
  • Oversee the processes of financial forecasting, budgets, and financial and management reporting.
  • Provide executive management with advice on the financial and accounting implications of Authority activities.
  • Review and analyze financial results and provide recommendations.

Accounting Operations and Compliance

  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight of the finance and accounting team, ensuring the team meets the requirements of the Board and Executive Directors' plans, initiatives, and recommendations.
  • Ensure effective internal controls are in place and in compliance with applicable federal and state requirements for timely and accurate financial and management reporting.
  • Oversee the timely preparation and communication of financial statements.
  • Select, engage, and supervise consultants, auditors, and investors, working with independent auditors on annual audits, preparation of special procedures letters, and coordination of special projects.

Financial and Debt Management

  • Manage cash flow and ensure funds availability.
  • Utilize forward-looking models and activity-based analyses to provide financial insight into the organization's plans and operating budgets.
  • Ensure that each Authority's funds are invested in accordance with applicable policies, guidelines, and covenants, and ensure that banking and trust activities are monitored.
  • Manage acquisitions and divestitures in line with AIDEA's mission.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).

Experience:

  • 10 years of experience in managing senior-level accounting and financial management practices (preferred).
