Medical Technologist Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures, including blood banking, chemistry, hematology, immunohematology, and microbiology.
  • Interpret test results and provide accurate diagnoses to healthcare providers.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies.
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist by ASCP.
  • BS in Medical Technology or Baccalaureate degree plus completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Technology program.
  • Hospital laboratory experience preferred.
