Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely laboratory results to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including blood banking, coagulation, and molecular diagnostics.
  • Interpret laboratory results and provide accurate and timely reporting to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable laboratory results.
  • Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure smooth operation of the laboratory.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with advances in laboratory technology and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
  • BS in Medical Technology or Baccalaureate degree plus completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Technology program.
  • Hospital laboratory experience preferred.
