Medical Technologist PRN Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist PRN to join our team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a Medical Technologist PRN, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely laboratory results to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures, including blood banking, chemistry, hematology, immunohematology, and microbiology.
  • Interpret test results and report them to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with new technologies and techniques.
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist by ASCP.
  • BS in Medical Technology or Baccalaureate degree plus completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Technology program.
  • Hospital laboratory experience preferred.
