As the Assistant Project Manager for Preconstruction, you will play a crucial role in supporting project managers with the detailed preparation of proposals, construction cost estimates, and pricing evaluations to secure competitive opportunities. This role requires a strong focus on precision, excellent analytical skills, and effective teamwork with both internal and external partners.
Key Responsibilities -
- Collaborate with project managers to meticulously review bid feedback to improve success rates.
- Conduct thorough analyses of plans and specifications to generate precise construction cost estimates.
- Perform site visits as directed by project management to fully understand the scope of work required.
- Assist project managers in optimizing procurement processes for projects.
- Support the procurement of subcontractors for trades without formal bids post-award as directed.
- Draft subcontractor scopes to ensure accurate bidding.
- Ensure timely distribution of addendums to bidders and maintain updated documentation.
Qualifications -
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in software applications such as MS Office, MS Project, Bluebeam, Procore, and Yardi.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimation or related fields, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
