Job Title: Assistant Pre-Construction Manager

EnergeiaWorks is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Pre-Construction Manager to join our EPC team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in building an effective and scalable procurement infrastructure by managing construction-related subcontract and services engagements from preconstruction through project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external experts to review and develop estimates for construction projects.
  • Network with potential EPC partners to identify the right partners for projects and prepare RFP bid packages.
  • Coordinate the bidding process, including Q&A and site visits, to ensure accurate and complete estimates.
  • Review and descope RFP bids to ensure compliance with project requirements and budget.
  • Develop and lead the preconstruction strategy for each project, identifying potential risk factors and mitigating them with senior management.
  • Review contracts and major purchase orders for compliance with project documents and budget.
  • Coordinate the development of construction schedules for each project and provide monthly cost analysis.
  • Organize and lead transition meetings between development and construction teams.
  • Visit potential projects to verify site conditions, meet with prospective bidders, and meet with landowners.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes and trends in construction methods, materials, costs, and working rules.
  • Identify and qualify new material suppliers and subcontractors and add them to the subcontractor database.
  • Meet with AHJs and utilities to understand the path to permission to operate and identify key risks to mitigate prior to EPC Contract execution.
  • Support sales and development in providing constructability analysis.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, supply chain management, or logistics preferred.
  • Renewable energy industry experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in estimating, scheduling, budgeting/cost control, financial reporting, and client relationship.
  • Success in managing the preconstruction process for major, complex projects.
  • Experience with procurement software and databases.
  • In-depth knowledge of contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
  • Previous experience as a Procurement manager and/or Preconstruction manager.
