About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent to lead our on-site team from construction start through project close. The successful candidate will have a strong background in heavy civil construction, with a proven track record of managing large teams and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the on-site team and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Proactively identify and resolve design deficiencies, schedule concerns, and other project-specific issues
  • Communicate and interpret contract scope to the site management team
  • Conduct preconstruction meetings with subcontractors and create project production schedules
  • Review and approve invoices and requisitions to ensure correct payment to vendors
  • Enforce safety protocols to ensure the job site adheres to OSHA safety standards
  • Supervise and evaluate project personnel and maintain a positive work environment
  • Communicate regularly with owners, construction managers, and project coordinators to ensure progress is achieved
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience as a construction superintendent for a heavy civil general contractor
  • OSHA certification (preferred)
  • Software experience: HCSS, Procore, Excel, Bluebeam
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Experience leading construction projects and managing large teams
  • Understanding of sub-grade utilities, concrete, excavation, and site work
