About the Position

The Administrative Faculty Program Associate will be a key member of the Nursing Department at Central Connecticut State University. This entry-level position will provide administrative support to the department, performing a variety of basic operational duties and taking on increasingly complex tasks as experience is gained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in trainings, conferences, committees, and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Support employees of a higher grade in planning, coordinating, and executing services, programs, and events
  • Draft correspondence, media publications, and prepare reports
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain data and databases related to the unit's operations
  • Provide basic direction to Student Workers, Graduate Assistants, Graduate Interns, and Cooperative Educational Interns as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related area
  • Two years of professional experience in entry-level duties relevant to the Nursing or related field
  • Graduate Intern and/or Graduate Assistant experience in the area of study and/or practice of the designated unit and/or program shall be prorated as appropriate
  • Successful completion of an approved Administrative Faculty Trainee program shall substitute for minimal qualifications
Benefits

The Administrative Faculty Program Associate is compensated at the Administrator II salary level in accordance with the State University Organization of Administrative Faculty (SUOAF) Collective Bargaining Union Agreement. The position also offers a range of fringe benefits, including paid personal, vacation and sick leave accruals, medical, dental, and prescription plans, group life insurance, retirement, and tuition waiver for employee and eligible dependents at any of the Connecticut State Universities.
