Regulatory Program Manager

Are you a motivated and experienced professional looking for a challenging role in energy and utilities regulation? We are seeking a skilled Regulatory Program Manager to join our team at the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) in the State of Connecticut.
Job Summary:The Regulatory Program Manager will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and oversight of new state programs administered by the state's regulated utilities or PURA. This includes coordinating with TRA staff, other PURA staff, the PURA leadership team, and PURA Commissioners to move the TRA work plan, individual work product, programs, and docketed investigations forward.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the planning, organizing, and directing the work plan and individual work products within TRA's portfolio.

- Develop and maintain contact with individuals within and outside of the agency who interact with TRA and/or the assigned programs.
- Speak before professional and lay groups on subjects related to the TRA and/or agency mission.
- Nine (9) years of professional experience.
- One (1) year of the General Experience must have been in the specific area of assignment.
- College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.
- A Master's degree in business administration, public administration or a closely related field may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.
- A bachelor's degree in climate change, economics, engineering, environmental studies, finance, physics, political science, public policy, public utility management, renewable energy, statistics, sustainability, or urban studies.
- An advanced degree in renewable energy, engineering, environmental studies, public policy, public utility management, finance, economics, or business administration.
- Work experience in utility regulation or utility management.
- Experience with energy policy, environmental justice, clean energy, electric grid technology, broadband deployment, or cybersecurity programs.
