Position Summary
We are seeking a high-energy, experienced audit professional to fill the role of Senior Assurance Associate. This position requires strong interpersonal and supervisory skills to effectively manage various aspects of assurance engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate different phases of audit engagements, ensuring time and expenses are budgeted effectively.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and review work papers for accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting, preparing comprehensive reports and communicating findings to management.
- Supervise and develop assurance staff, ensuring timely updates to engagement managers and partners.
- Take full ownership of all aspects of the assurance engagement from planning to report issuance.
- Conduct technical research as needed and maintain effective communication with all levels of staff and clients.
- Identify opportunities for extended services and cultivate strong relationships with clients and team members.
- Stay current on professional standards and participate in training for junior staff.
- Engage proactively in performance management processes and practice development initiatives.
Qualifications
- MBA/BS/MS in Accounting from an accredited institution (minimum of 150 college credits).
- 3+ years of relevant public accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines with accuracy.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Team-oriented with a strong desire to contribute to the organization.
- Flexibility to handle a variety of assignments and multitask effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining a customer service approach focused on exceeding expectations.
