Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative to join our team at Covenant Health (Tennessee). As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical office setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and guests, ensuring a positive experience in our facilities.
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including filing, answering phones, patient registration, and scheduling appointments.
  • Process payments, post charges, and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Assist physicians and other personnel in all departments as needed, providing support with transcription, coding, and other tasks.
  • Protect confidential patient information in accordance with hospital and departmental protocol, HIPAA requirements, and the highest level of ethical standards.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a medical office setting, with knowledge of ICD-9 & CPT coding, medical records processing, and third-party payer requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
