Job Overview:
The Lead Mechanical Commissioning Engineer will report to engineering managers and directors, taking charge of technical oversight, business development, and professional service support across various teams within the designated region.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Mentor and guide staff on established processes.
2. Develop standards to foster team growth.
3. Manage projects from a supervisory perspective.
4. Lead weekly staff scheduling and participate in company-wide safety and training initiatives.
5. Present at industry events, including trade shows.
6. Ensure quality assurance by overseeing ongoing projects and client relationships.
7. Support company sales and revenue objectives while initiating new partnerships with strategic clients and markets.

Travel Requirements:
This role necessitates travel to various job sites within the assigned region.

Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in HVACR, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or an Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role related to maintenance, construction, or engineering controls, or 7+ years in the commissioning industry.
- Extensive experience managing the interconnectivity of building systems, including pumps, fans, motors, air ventilation, chillers, boilers, and building automation systems.
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills, with the ability to present effectively to groups.
- Proficient in reading construction drawings, specifications, and related industry documents.
- Problem-solving aptitude, both independently and collaboratively.
- Adaptability to diverse working conditions and physical fitness to lift at least 30 pounds and climb ladders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Involvement in trade associations.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.), Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or similar certifications.
- OSHA30 or other workplace safety certifications.
