Position Summary:
The Senior Mechanical Commissioning Project Engineer plays a pivotal role in our organization, providing technical leadership and support across various teams. This position entails overseeing the commissioning process, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally, and contributing to the growth of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical oversight and guidance to engineering teams.
2. Mentor junior staff and develop standards to enhance team performance.
3. Manage multiple projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
4. Participate in and lead safety and training initiatives within the organization.
5. Engage in business development activities to foster new client relationships and expand market reach.
Travel Requirements:
The candidate must be willing to travel to various job sites within the designated region.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s Degree in HVACR, mechanical engineering, or construction management, or an Associate’s Degree in engineering technology or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the commissioning industry, with at least 7 years managing the integration of building systems such as HVAC, electrical distribution, and automation.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, with excellent presentation skills.
- Familiarity with construction documentation and problem-solving in both independent and collaborative settings.
- Physical capability to perform job-related tasks, including lifting and climbing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Involvement in trade associations.
- Relevant certifications such as P.E., CCP, CxA, or CEM.
- OSHA30 or equivalent safety certifications.
