Position Overview:

As a Senior Project Manager focusing on low voltage systems, you will oversee critical projects involving fire alarm systems, access control, and surveillance camera installations.

Your role will encompass the overall management, successful completion, and financial oversight of multiple small to medium-sized projects or a single large-scale project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership: Define project goals, policies, procedures, and performance benchmarks in alignment with corporate standards. Ensure clear directives for field operations.
  • Team Supervision: Effectively manage and guide project managers and assistants in their daily responsibilities.
  • Training: Mentor project managers in company methodologies and systems. Oversee the negotiation and preparation of change orders.
  • Project Tracking: Maintain comprehensive logs to monitor project progress and train assistants in tracking methodologies.
  • Construction Monitoring: Collaborate with onsite foremen and superintendents to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Problem Solving: Address significant issues and implement corrective actions in line with company protocols.
  • Representation: Act as the company’s representative in discussions with clients and subcontractors.
  • Financial Management: Generate monthly financial reports and manage contract financials, including billing and expenses.
Qualifications:

Extensive experience in managing electrical construction projects, particularly in low voltage systems.

Project Accountability: Take initiative for all project facets and their success. Exhibit strong problem-solving capabilities and a solid understanding of electrical systems and construction technologies.

Financial Acumen: Possess knowledge of project financials and forecasting.

Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with field teams to optimize performance.

A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 10 years in project management, ideally within electrical construction. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Oracle and Accubid is advantageous.

Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate the ability to engage professionally with all levels of personnel, management, vendors, and clients.
