Position Overview:
As a Senior Project Manager specializing in Low Voltage Systems, you will oversee the comprehensive direction, completion, and financial performance of multiple small to medium-sized projects or a singular large-scale project. You will lead a team of project managers and assistants to achieve outstanding results for our clients. This role also includes the proactive development of new business opportunities and nurturing relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership: Define project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards in alignment with corporate guidelines. Ensure clear work statements for the field teams.
  • Team Oversight: Supervise staff in the daily management of projects or oversee multiple project managers in their responsibilities.
  • Training: Educate and effectively guide project managers in the company's principles and operational systems.
  • Change Management: Negotiate and oversee the preparation of all project change orders.
  • Project Monitoring: Maintain necessary logs to track project progress and train project assistants in tracking methodologies.
  • Client Engagement: Act as a liaison with primary clients and architects/engineers to facilitate project activities.
  • Construction Oversight: Monitor on-site construction activities with foremen and superintendents to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Problem Resolution: Investigate significant issues and implement corrective actions within company policies.
  • Representation: Represent the company in meetings with clients and subcontractors.
  • Financial Oversight: Prepare monthly financial reports and manage contract financial aspects, including billing and expenses.
  • Collaboration: Promote a collaborative atmosphere within the team and with various stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in managing electrical construction projects, particularly in fire alarm, access control, and camera systems.
  • Proactive approach to project accountability and success.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and experience in overcoming project challenges.
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, construction, and related technologies.
  • Innovative mindset for planning and process improvement.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, business insight, and integrity.
  • Financial understanding related to project management and forecasting.

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, ideally in electrical construction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Oracle and Accubid is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and a strong team player.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel, management, clients, and vendors.
