Human Resources Vice President

Homeboy Industries is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Human Resources Vice President to lead the development and implementation of HR initiatives that support the full life cycle of the employee experience. The ideal candidate will have diverse experience in for-profit and non-profit organizations and possess expert knowledge of Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and direct HR strategic initiatives to support the organization's mission and overall success.
- Set, enforce, and evaluate legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Identify and implement long-range strategic talent management goals and DEI practices.
- Lead company compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal requirements.
- Advise and coach leadership on employee relations matters.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with team members to enhance existing policies and procedures.
- Provide direction and support on employee relations issues.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define the organization's long-term mission and goals.
- Work closely with company leaders to develop and implement long-term strategic initiatives.
- Initiate a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) program to shape and deliver experiences, programs, and results for employees.
- Manage benefit administration, including health plans and 401k plans.
- Manage employee communication, employee safety and health, and other HR areas.
- Lead and implement key learning and development initiatives.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to build and deliver learning and development strategies.
- Set the tone for HR to support the organization in delivering the mission/vision and modeling core values.
- Build a scalable HR infrastructure to address company growth and changes in business needs.
- Coaches, mentors, and interacts with direct reports and all levels of the organization.
- Ensure all employment, benefits, and pay practices are applied equitably.
- 15+ years of career experience with 10+ years in an HR leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
- Experience working in non-profit, for-profit environment preferred.
- High emotional intelligence, straight-forward, transparent, and self-motivated.
- Strong managerial and coaching skills, with the ability to provide direct feedback and coach and develop leaders.
- Possesses unquestionable personal integrity, fairness, and inclusivity.
- Performance-driven leader with outstanding communication skills, ability to influence peers and leaders.
- Progressive HR experience with key experience in developing people strategies.
- Selects, negotiates, and administers all benefits programs.
- Experience designing and managing all core HR processes.
- Manages all annual and periodic employment processes.
- In-depth knowledge of all aspects of HR management.
- Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and handle multiple tasks with a high level of efficiency.
Salary: $125k-$145k DOE
