Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Receptionist to join our team in Celebration, FL. As a key member of our Call Center, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient experiences and ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including filing and retrieving charts.
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct callers to appropriate personnel or initiate triage slips for medical response.
  • Schedule appointments and enter data into our computerized scheduler.
  • Conduct reminder calls to patients and greet visitors, patients, and sales personnel.
  • Register patients by verifying their records and making necessary updates in our computer system and on their charts.
  • Coordinate referrals for patients through insurance and other physician offices or specialists.
  • Prepare billings for processing by our finance team and collect payments from patients, reconciling daily cash reports.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gathering and analyzing information to develop alternative solutions.
  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, listening skills, and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Follow through on commitments and maintain a strong customer service orientation, responding quickly and appropriately to customer needs.
  • Meet annual competencies and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year certificate from a college or technical school with a focus on front office support for medical settings preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in a front desk or customer service-related field required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a medical office setting preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Internet software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
  • Knowledge of medical practice software and medical record filing and coding systems a plus.
