Position Summary

The primary objective of this role is to deliver comprehensive janitorial and custodial services as per the contractual obligations. Responsibilities may vary based on specific agreements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of restrooms.
  2. Disinfect countertops, sinks, toilets, and urinals.
  3. Clean and sanitize door handles, walls, and partitions.
  4. Ensure toilet paper dispensers are replenished as necessary.
  5. Sweep and mop flooring areas.
  6. Sanitize hand dryers.
  7. Maintain cleanliness of baby changing stations.
  8. Refill soap dispensers as required.
  9. Clean mirrors and glass surfaces effectively.
  10. Ensure light fixtures are clean and operational, replacing bulbs as needed.
  11. Maintain a fresh odor in all restroom facilities.
  12. Ensure cleanliness and functionality of family restrooms.
  13. Clean utility spaces within buildings.
  14. Sanitize all drinking fountains.
  15. Maintain cleanliness in foyer areas.
  16. Disinfect doors, handles, and frequently touched surfaces.
  17. Ensure walls are clean and painted surfaces are well-maintained.
  18. Maintain cleanliness of all signage.
  19. Empty trash bins and ensure they are clean and equipped with liners.
  20. Clear outdoor areas of trash and debris as per contract requirements.
  21. Maintain the lawn and garden areas in a tidy condition, as specified.
  22. Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of picnic areas and tables.
  23. Clean vending machine zones.
  24. Store supplies and equipment securely in designated areas.
  25. Ensure availability of adequate supplies.
  26. Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Clear walkways, roadways, and parking areas of snow and ice.
  2. Conduct biannual cleaning of internal and external windows.
Qualifications:

Language Proficiency:
  • Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operational instructions, and procedural manuals.
Other Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk long distances.
  • Occasional running may be required.
  • Standing for extended periods, up to two hours at a time.
  • Ability to lift or push up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
  • Frequent reaching, stooping, grasping, balancing, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the entire shift.
  • Operate machinery, vehicles, and job-specific tools safely.
  • Visual acuity to observe surroundings and activities.
  • Hearing ability to accurately perceive information at normal speaking levels.
  • Work safely in environments with potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, utilizing provided protective equipment.
Work Environment:
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor settings, with potential exposure to various weather conditions.
  • Exposure to moderate to high noise levels, including loud voices and cleaning equipment.
  • Work environments may include monitoring via video and/or audio systems.
