Position Summary

The primary objective of this role is to deliver consistent janitorial and custodial services to designated sites as outlined in the service agreement. Responsibilities may vary based on the specific contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitization of restrooms.
  2. Disinfect countertops, sinks, toilets, and urinals.
  3. Maintain cleanliness of door latches, walls, and stall partitions.
  4. Ensure toilet paper dispensers are replenished as necessary.
  5. Sweep and mop floors effectively.
  6. Sanitize hand dryers and baby changing stations.
  7. Refill soap dispensers as required.
  8. Clean mirrors and glass surfaces to a high standard.
  9. Ensure all light fixtures are clean and operational, replacing bulbs as needed.
  10. Maintain a fresh environment in all bathrooms.
  11. Ensure family restrooms are clean and fully functional.
  12. Clean utility areas within the buildings.
  13. Sanitize all water fountains.
  14. Maintain cleanliness in foyer areas.
  15. Disinfect doors, handles, and frequently touched surfaces.
  16. Ensure walls are clean and painted surfaces are well-maintained.
  17. Keep all signage clean and functional.
  18. Empty trash bins and ensure they are clean and equipped with liners.
  19. Clear outdoor areas of trash and debris, including sidewalks and parking lots, as per contract stipulations.
  20. Maintain lawns and gardens in a tidy condition, as required.
  21. Ensure picnic areas and tables are clean and well-maintained.
  22. Clean vending machine locations.
  23. Store supplies and equipment securely in designated areas.
  24. Ensure adequate supply levels are maintained.
  25. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Clear walkways, roadways, and parking lots of snow and ice.
  2. Conduct biannual cleaning of internal and external windows.
Qualifications:

Language Proficiency:
  • Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals.
Other Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk significant distances.
  • Occasional running may be required.
  • Standing for extended periods, up to two hours at a time.
  • Ability to lift or push up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
  • Frequent reaching, stooping, grasping, balancing, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Capacity to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift.
  • Experience operating machinery, vehicles, and job-specific tools.
  • Visual acuity to observe surroundings and activities.
  • Hearing ability to accurately perceive spoken information.
  • Ability to work safely in environments with potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, with protective equipment provided as necessary.
Work Environment:
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to various weather conditions.
  • Experience moderate to high noise levels from voices, office equipment, and cleaning machinery.
  • Potential for video and/or audio monitoring in the work environment.
