Position Summary

The primary objective of this role is to deliver comprehensive janitorial and custodial services to designated locations as outlined in the service agreement. Responsibilities may vary based on the specific contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of restrooms.
  2. Disinfect surfaces including countertops, sinks, toilets, and urinals.
  3. Maintain cleanliness of door handles, walls, and restroom partitions.
  4. Ensure toilet paper dispensers are adequately stocked.
  5. Sweep and mop flooring as necessary.
  6. Sanitize hand dryers and baby changing stations.
  7. Refill soap dispensers as required.
  8. Clean mirrors and glass surfaces to a high standard.
  9. Check and maintain light fixtures, replacing bulbs as needed.
  10. Ensure restrooms are free from unpleasant odors.
  11. Maintain cleanliness and functionality of family restrooms.
  12. Clean utility areas within the facilities.
  13. Sanitize water fountains and foyer areas.
  14. Disinfect doors, handles, and frequently touched surfaces.
  15. Ensure walls are clean and painted surfaces are well-maintained.
  16. Keep signage clean and operational.
  17. Empty trash bins and ensure they are clean and equipped with liners.
  18. Clear external areas of debris, including sidewalks and parking lots, as per contract stipulations.
  19. Maintain the lawn and garden areas in an orderly fashion, as required.
  20. Ensure cleanliness and functionality of picnic areas and tables.
  21. Clean vending machine locations.
  22. Store supplies and equipment securely in designated areas.
  23. Maintain adequate inventory of cleaning supplies.
  24. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Clear walkways and parking areas of snow and ice.
  2. Conduct biannual cleaning of internal and external windows.
Qualifications:

Language Proficiency:
  • Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals.
Other Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk significant distances.
  • Occasional running may be required.
  • Standing for extended periods, up to two hours at a time.
  • Occasional lifting or pushing of up to 50 pounds and frequent lifting of 20 pounds.
  • Frequent reaching, stooping, grasping, balancing, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift.
  • Operation of machinery, vehicles, and job-specific tools.
  • Visual acuity to observe surroundings and activities.
  • Hearing ability to accurately perceive information at normal speaking levels.
  • Ability to work safely in environments with potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, with necessary protective equipment provided.
Work Environment:
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor settings, with potential exposure to various weather conditions.
  • Exposure to moderate to high noise levels, including voices and cleaning equipment.
  • Work environments may include video and/or audio monitoring.
