Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Behavioral Health Support Specialist to join our team at Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC). The successful candidate will provide case management services to adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses and/or chemical dependency issues.

In this role, you will participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, provide phone screenings, engage clients, and maintain working relationships through creative strategies. You will also be responsible for creating and implementing client-centered disposition plans, facilitating group treatment services, and documenting services provided.

The estimated salary for this role is $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. DESC offers a comprehensive benefits package, including dental, life, long-term disability, medical insurance, and more. Key Qualifications:
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related behavioral science.
  • Ability to meet Washington Department of Health requirements for registration as a Registered Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC).
  • Experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses and/or chemical dependency issues.
