Position Summary and Qualifications

We are in search of a seasoned RN who is prepared to advance into a nursing leadership role as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) in the Intermediate Care Unit. In this capacity, you will mentor and guide your team to achieve optimal outcomes while providing direct nursing care to adult patients who are critically ill and recovering from various nonsurgical medical and post-surgical conditions.

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) delivers exceptional, patient-focused care and coordinates all operations within the unit. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC monitors and assesses nursing care in accordance with established protocols. The CNC acts as a resource for staff and fosters an unparalleled patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, assess, customize, and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes.
  • Work with subject matter experts and leadership to enhance outcomes and service quality.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and training to enhance performance and engagement.
  • Assist with staff scheduling.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.
  • 3+ years of current nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
  • 1 year of leadership experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.
