Job Summary and Qualifications
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled RN to provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care while working alongside a multidisciplinary team in our critical care step-down unit.

In this position, you will deliver direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with both acute and chronic conditions. This unit caters to cardiology and medical/surgical patients who may require telemetry or bedside monitoring.

In the critical care step-down unit, you will monitor heart rhythms, adjust select infusions, and apply critical thinking skills to manage patient care effectively. Collaborating with a team of nurses, providers, and support staff, you will develop and implement individualized care plans.

Utilizing computerized documentation systems, you will monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as necessary. Additionally, you will coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Maintaining cultural and diversity awareness is essential when interacting with patients, visitors, and colleagues.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in the Critical Care Internship for further professional development.

Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or a Multistate Compact License.
- At least one year of medical-surgical nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
