Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Quality Control Inspectors at Topp Industries Inc. This role involves conducting thorough audits on incoming, in-process, and final products to ensure compliance with established specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure production processes adhere to quality standards.
  2. Implement and follow all relevant safety protocols.
  3. Complete mandatory safety training sessions.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
  5. Support the Plant Manager and other supervisors as required.
  6. Collaborate effectively with team members.
  7. Be available for overtime as necessary.
  8. Reject non-compliant products and materials.
  9. Conduct audits on various stages of production.
  10. Interpret blueprints and data to determine inspection and testing methods.
  11. Perform inspections and tests to verify product conformity.
  12. Communicate production issues to supervisors and assist in problem resolution.
  13. Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
  14. Monitor production operations to ensure compliance with specifications.
  15. Utilize hand tools for measurement and inspection purposes.
  16. Analyze test data and perform necessary calculations.
  17. Operate forklifts as needed.
  18. Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
  19. Attendance during scheduled hours is crucial for this role.

Supervisory Duties:

Supervise the activities of Quality Control Inspectors across facilities.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to maintain balance while walking or standing.
  2. Capable of bending and stooping for extended periods.
  3. Ability to climb and crawl as necessary.
  4. Lift and carry items of varying weights.
  5. Perform repetitive motions and work overhead.

Mobility Requirements:

  1. Stand and walk for extended periods.
  2. Engage in pulling and pushing tasks as required.

Visual and Hearing Requirements:

  1. Must have visual acuity for detailed inspections.
  2. Ability to hear and communicate effectively.

Environmental Conditions:

  1. Work in varying temperatures and conditions.
  2. Exposure to potential hazards and atmospheric conditions.

Qualifications:

  1. Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  2. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
  3. Experience in maintaining quality records.
  4. Decision-making skills that impact operations.
