Position Title: Quality Assurance Inspector

Reports To: Quality Assurance Manager



Overview: The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for conducting thorough inspections and completing necessary documentation in accordance with the organization's quality protocols. This role involves performing in-process inspections, as well as First Piece and other designated inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CMM Machine:
    • Execute startup and shutdown procedures
    • Calibrate using master ball and test plan probes
    • Run production programs efficiently
    • Utilize solvers and reset mechanisms as needed
    • Employ customer-supplied fixtures for part inspections
  • Conduct Visual Inspections: Assess parts visually for quality assurance.
  • Utilize Hand Gauges: Measure parts accurately using hand gauges.
  • Complete Quality Control Documentation: Ensure all required QC paperwork is filled out correctly.
  • Perform Final Inspections:
    • Draft Discrepant Material Reports (DMRs) as necessary.
  • Assist with Mold Machine Operations: Fill in during breaks as required.
  • Material Handling: Carry out material handling tasks when needed.
  • Document Production Information: Accurately complete production-related information (routers, lot numbers, etc.).
  • Change End Mills: Replace end mills as required for production.
  • Manage Document Control: Ensure proper document management practices are followed.
  • Adhere to Quality Standards: Follow company documentation and ISO 9001 quality system requirements.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Experience with hand gauges.
  • Previous experience in optics is advantageous.
Compensation:
  • Hourly Rate: $21.00
