Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and support in organizing maintenance tasks, adhering to established priorities to fulfill maintenance requirements.
  • Diagnose issues across various mechanical technologies present on-site.
  • Enhance operational efficiency by implementing necessary adjustments, suggesting equipment upgrades, and aiding in the development of innovative processes and procedures.
  • Conduct maintenance and corrective actions on production, facility, and utility machinery.
  • Ensure reliable equipment performance through effective troubleshooting and maintenance practices.
  • Engage in the adjustment, repair, and replacement of components within mechanical systems.
  • Address preventive, corrective, or emergency work orders and respond to service requests during operational hours, including off-shift periods and weekends.
  • Perform corrective actions, which may involve replacing electrical components, including multi-phase motors.
  • Assist in troubleshooting to gain insights into operational deviations.
  • Execute testing protocols either independently or as directed by Engineering, depending on the complexity of the task.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, both written and electronic, in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Document activities that support maintenance best practices, ensuring reliable data for continuous improvement analysis.
  • Review and analyze measurement data collected to ensure proper documentation and adherence to standards.
  • Implement testing protocols developed by self or others in support of equipment qualification.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of equipment/system requirements in the Enterprise Asset Management System (EAM).
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain acceptable work standards.
  • Flexibility to work off-shifts and weekends as operational needs dictate.

Required Skills:

  • At least two (2) years of experience demonstrating proficiency in mechanical methodologies, advanced maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with equipment start-up and project support.
  • Proficient understanding of schematics, P&ID drawings, and ISA symbols & numbering.
  • Proven ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and equipment effectively.
  • Possess electrical, mechanical, and technical aptitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to maintain precise records.
  • Demonstrated capability to learn and apply relevant Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Attention to detail, safety, quality, and customer requirements.
  • Exhibit a high level of personal motivation and initiative.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in response to changing work assignments and a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to make informed decisions within the framework of operating policies and procedures.
  • Experience with instrumentation, measurement, control, and troubleshooting technologies.
  • Understanding of equipment start-up and project support.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work conditions may involve outdoor environments in various weather conditions, climbing stairs and ladders, and working in confined or awkward positions.
  • Regularly required to manually lift components, parts, equipment, and tools.
  • Items exceeding 50 pounds are typically lifted with mechanical assistance or with the help of colleagues.
  • Occasionally, heavier lifts may be necessary without assistance due to workspace constraints.
  • Compliance with company policies, gowning, SOPs, cGMPs, documentation, and training requirements is essential.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
