Job Title: Ophthalmic Technician/Medical Scribe

Job Summary:

We are seeking highly motivated and organized individuals to work as clinical technicians for North Carolina Retina Associates, the largest Retina Practice in North Carolina. As a clinical technician, you will play a vital role in assisting the physician in the room, triaging patients, taking images, and working up patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the physician in the examination room, including taking medical histories, performing visual acuity tests, and administering eye drops.
  • Triage patients, including assessing their condition and determining the best course of treatment.
  • Take high-quality images of patients' eyes using advanced medical imaging equipment.
  • Work up patients, including preparing them for exams and procedures, and assisting with medical charting.
  • Assist with coordinating surgery schedules and reviewing and editing medical charts and referrals.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a technician in an ophthalmology office.
  • Ability to aid in daily tasks of running a medical clinic.
  • OCT/Fundus/FA experience.
  • Scribe experience, familiarity with MDI Intellechart preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to assist in coordinating surgery schedules and reviewing and editing medical charts/referrals.

  • Set clinic hours are M - F, 8 am - 5 pm. FT hours are preferred.
