Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Advisor Nurse-Call Center Specialist to join our team at Patient First. As a key member of our nurse call center, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support through comprehensive telephonic assessments and follow-up care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive telephonic patient assessments and follow all Patient First policies and procedures.
  • Follow established clinical protocols and guidelines, providing appropriate patient instructions according to the urgency of calls.
  • Complete documentation of all communication with patients, physicians, staff, employer, or insurance companies in the patient medical record.
  • Use, protect, and disclose patient Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
  • Expedite emergency calls as needed.
  • Help develop new members of the nurse call center.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • State license as a registered nurse in good standing.
  • Clinical experience with Patient First a plus.
  • Utilization review and call center experience a plus.
  • Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel (required).
