Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Representative to join our OP Comp Lung Center team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly and ensure a seamless check-in experience.
  • Update patient records, insurance information, and schedule appointments using strong computer and organizational skills.
  • Manage patient inquiries and appointments with professional phone etiquette.
  • Educate patients on their financial responsibilities, including copayments, and collect payments when necessary.
  • Connect patients to financial advocacy resources and promote advanced, patient-friendly technologies.
  • Help patients navigate the healthcare system by providing clear and understandable instructions.
  • Provide follow-up to unresolved patient questions or needs to ensure the appropriate continuity of care.
  • Assist with administrative duties in the office, including scanning medical records and faxing.
  • Guide patients through the use of self-arrival technology or check-in patients at the desk, depending on patient preference.
  • Schedule or connect patients to resources to schedule for ancillary services at checkout.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Two years of experience in a medical, billing, fiscal, or customer service function preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Prior experience with Medipac, Epic, or other health records systems preferred.
