Job Overview

At Ashbury Community Services Inc, we are seeking a skilled Digital Literacy Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide individualized or small group assistance to program participants who need affordable home internet service, internet-capable devices, and/or basic digital literacy training and tech support.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work with diverse client populations, and a strong understanding of technology literacy and access. They will also be proficient in Microsoft apps, Google apps, Zoom, and other virtual platforms.

Responsibilities will include assisting clients via telephone, email, and in-person, conducting adult basic digital literacy courses, monitoring the ASC3 Hotline for Internet Information, and providing 1-on-1 support to clients with specific tech support needs.

The successful candidate will also have the ability to develop relationships with community members, provide excellent communication, and demonstrate innovation and flexibility.

Requirements include a HS Diploma/GED Equivalent, Northstar Digital Literacy Certification, and 3-5 years of classroom instruction or equivalent experience. Technical support experience and bilingual skills are also preferred.
