About the Role:
The Assistant Principal role at Civitas involves dynamic leadership, proficient management, and effective supervision strategies aimed at enhancing the educational experience for all students and staff. Assistant Principals are responsible for guiding teams to ensure that both academic and personal-social experiences of students contribute to the development of future leaders. Effectively manages school operations to ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming environment:
- Strategically develops and updates the master schedule to meet student needs.
- Revamps and publishes the course catalog annually.
- Establishes protocols for staff leadership opportunities and compensation structures.
- Supervises various school departments and personnel.
- Implements policies regarding safety, office protocols, and grounds maintenance.
- Develops purchasing procedures and oversees acquisitions for instructional materials.
- Manages registration processes and supports enrollment initiatives.
- Oversees compliance obligations and technology integration.
- Coordinates school events, student activities, and policies.
- Upholds visitor access procedures and safety standards.
- Contributes to enhancing school operations and policies.
Professionally manages staff in accordance with school policies and contractual obligations:
- Cultivates a culture of excellence and high expectations.
- Leads initiatives to enhance professional practices and student support services.
- Provides constructive feedback to staff for performance improvement.
- Addresses low performance and misconduct appropriately.
- Ensures alignment with school goals and performance expectations.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

- Has 5-8 years of teaching experience and 1 year of leadership experience.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
- Experience in staff supervision and urban school settings is preferred.
- Strong technical skills are essential.
