Absco Solutions is a leading provider of fire life-safety and security technology solutions, with a strong presence in Washington and Oregon. We're seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Field Technician to join our team.

Job Summary

This role requires a technical expert with a strong background in IT and infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring Absco's expertise and reputation in the industry, providing IT solutions to external and internal customers, and supporting the company's operations in multiple locations.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide on-site and remote IT customer support for system installations and integration requirements.
  • Support the field technicians with pre-job deployment of IT equipment.
  • Troubleshoot IT-related issues for both hardware and software needs.
  • Interface with vendors to troubleshoot equipment, firmware, and software issues.
  • Execute technical aspects of multiple projects, including programming, graphics development, start-up, certification testing, customer training, and close-out documentation.
  • Work with team members and customers to provide strategic account support.
  • Attend sales walks with the Absco Sales Team and provide IT knowledge on system design.
  • Assist the Sales Team with developing proposals and designs for sales proposals.
  • Provide customer training on Absco-supported products.
  • Enhance our Learning Management System (LMS) by updating training for both internal and external users.
Requirements
  • Effective communication with internal and external customers.
  • Traveling to various locations to resolve issues on site.
  • Experience with Windows, Windows Server, SQL Server, VM environments, and networking platforms.
  • SQL query writing experience and IT certifications desired.
  • Experience in consultation, design, implementation, training, and services for external and internal customers within the IT area.
  • Experience providing clear and precise training.
